Question for my followers: What is your favorite/favourite word? Ever? An English teacher asked us that once. I said: “Nefarious.”
“Why do you like that word?”
“I…I dunno. It just sounds sufficiently fancy, creepy and sinister.”
I’d have to say the best word in English is the word ‘thing’. It’s so very versatile. Consider this actual sentence spoken to me just the other day:
‘You got a thing on your thing from thing all about that thing.’
Beautiful.
