Scary Movies

Watership Down was a very disturbing film to see when I was very young, but it didn’t actually scare me.  I can only think of one movie that I was genuinely scared after watching, and that was Aliens.  Although it had more to do with the environment I was in when I first saw it than the movie itself.

I was staying in a hotel in the country with my dad, and Aliens was on TV.  He decided to watch it, despite the fact I was very young and in the same room (he would have turned it off immediately if my mum was there).  There were few other guests at this hotel and later on, when I needed to go the bathroom, I had to creep along a long dark corridor in this empty, silent hotel… suffice to say, after seeing them ‘coming out of the walls’, yeah… I was a bit jumpy.
