Fallout 3 Predicted Bronies

So I’m excited about the upcoming Fallout 4.  Fallout 2 was the first game in the series I played, way back when.  It was probably after Baldur’s Gate and I was looking around for other RPG’s.  And much as I enjoyed BG, I’d have to say that in total I’ve probably logged many more hours playing Fallout than any other game series.  I just love the retro-50′s sci-fi aesthetic which to me back then felt very unique  and different, having only played through a few fantasy RPG’s with, let’s face it, rather generic pseudo-medieval settings.

I’ve been playing Fallout 3 again, and as I was playing through the Mothership Zeta DLC I came across the section of the ship where the aliens have collected… I didn’t count them, but lots and lots of Giddyup Buttercup toys, and as is their way seem to be doing some weird experiments with them.  We’ll never understand the alien’s motivations, but they seem obsessed with these pony toys.  Of course, I immediately thought of my nephew and bronies.  But of course, Fallout 3 was made a few years before Friendship is Magic, but maybe one of the developers had the premonition of these creatures entering our world?

Thanks to my nephew, I am aware of Fallout: Equestria.  I actually listened to the whole thing read out on youtube.  It seems like an unlikely crossover to work, but even though I’m not quite a brony I have to say it was really well written.
