Coutelier Says The Darndest Things… Episode 3

My niece wants to play a game with me.  She’s nine now – this was a few years ago.

Niece:- Okay… I’ll be a princess, and you have to come and rescue me!

Me:- Erm… why?

Niece:- Because you’re the prince.  Princes have to save princesses from dragons!

Me:- I don’t think that’s right.  Modern princesses should be able to rescue themselves from dragons.  Besides, I’ve been thinking about joining the revolutionaries anyway.  It’s time we had a republic.

Niece:- You can’t!

Me:-  You’re always getting kidnapped by dragons.  Monarchies are nothing but trouble like this.  So good luck with the fire-breathing monster and everything… I’m off.
