Tonight’s questions and answers come from publishing-hub, who have
‘20 Fantastic (& Crazy) Interview Questions for Authors’, making 40 in total so again I’ll just pick some random ones.

Do you drink? Smoke?

No. I used to smoke, even though for years I’d hated the smell of cigarettes and would always urge people to stop because of the health risks. Sadly what happened was I got a job. Seriously – every break, everyone I worked would just file outside for a cigarette and being young and impressionable and wanting to be accepted I ended up joining in. Took a few years to quit.

If you didn’t like writing books, what would you do for a living?

I did want to work in films or television once, a long time ago. I did a few courses and was involved in a few short films. It was fun, but I’ve always just liked writing more.

Have you ever been in trouble with the police?

Not really. I’ve been stopped and searched a few times, but I’m a white male so they typically just send me on my way.

What is your biggest fear?

My nephew. He’s not actually that big, but I’m always afraid that one time when he’s here and my back’s turned he’s going to delete all the files on my PC for a laugh.

Do you have any scars? What are they from?

I have scars on my feet from when a full, boiling hot teapot fell on them.

Do you write naked?

I have done. I’ve been in the bath or shower when inspiration struck and then gone straight from there to my desk.
