So, way back when I was writing The Little Queen I did actually start looking into ways people market books, even though I didn’t really do that much.  One of the things that came up was the idea of a ‘Book Trailer’.  Now, I’d never actually seen a book trailer before, but decided I would have a go at making one anyway despite that and my budget of $0.

Of course, this was all supposed to have been animated, but after many hours of rendering, the program I was using crashed.  Annoyed and frustrated, I decided to just take some stills instead and edit them together.  Also, I didn’t really have anything resembling how I imagined the ‘chitinous armor with a bark like texture’ to be, so I wasn’t planning for anyone to see clearly the hastily thrown together creature (the last shot maybe does linger too long).

I don’t know if I’ll do any trailers for future novels (maybe with more of a budget).  To be honest, I don’t know if many people actually look at them anyway.
