Honestly, the closest thing to what I’m writing that I’ve can come up is Scooby Doo.  What I haven’t done yet is put in a dog who can almost talk and everyone treats as if they’re human and no one ever questions like, ‘why is that dog shivering all the time? What the hell are those assholes doing to it? That Shaggy has gotta be feeding him something dodgy’.  Maybe that’s what I’m missing.
