Worldbuilding June Day 11 – Dibbles & Fribbles

Kaya, in order to stop herself from swearing, will often use a mix of old fashioned and archaic exclamations and insults (some of which may have been considered swearing in the past but are tame today), in addition to having old fashioned nicknames for people.  Here are just a few and what they mean:

Dibbles = Police.  After Officer Dibble from TV’s Top Cat.

Gadabout = Person who constantly wanders place to place seeking pleasure.

Bobby-dazzler = Of exceptional quality, like a doozy or humdinger.

Fribble

= Person who is good for nothing.

Zounderkite = Idiot.  Specifically, someone whose stupid actions result in disaster.

Scobberlotcher = Lazy person.
