Which goddess was responsible for the Trojan War?

Eris. She wasn’t invited to a wedding so decided to stir things up by tossing in a golden apple inscribed ‘For the Fairest’ and Athena, Hera and Aphrodite all argued it was meant for them (in the end they agreed to let Paris choose). I’ve been watching the current BBC series about Troy and so far all it’s done is convince that these gods were way more trouble than they were worth.
