It’s nice to actually have a few beta-readers now anyway.  I’m afraid when I wrote The Little Queen I got very little feedback from people, at least not before I actually put it on Kindle.  Had I gotten some I might not have rushed so much and avoided some of the other problems I now have with it.

As I’ve mentioned before, I have thought about going back and redoing a lot of it.  Major alterations I mean – rewriting large chunks and adding a lot more detail.  Up until now most the changes I’ve made have been corrections and small things like the introduction.  The problem is that when I put it on Kindle quite a few people actually paid for and downloaded it, and I now know that getting updates and new versions sent to people through Kindle can be difficult (it’s less of a problem through other ebook stores where new versions are automatically available to download through your account).  Which is why I’ve been hesitant to make large changes, as Amazon customers might never get it, or re-release a new edition which would involve people having to purchase again (of course I could make it free for a period at least, or on other sites like Smashwords, but most people prefer Kindle).

I really don’t know.  I am considering when I’ve finished Asterion and sent to an editor/proofreader, as I’ve no idea how long that will take, I might go back and ‘fix’ The Little Queen.  But I’ve still not really decided anything yet.
