Did you know ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ is trademarked? Not the genre – you can write your own choose your own adventure, you just can’t call it that. You have to come up with something else like ‘Make Your Own Myth’ or ‘Plump For Your Romp’.
Although you can’t copyright book titles you might still want to check if something is a registered trademark or not, which is very easy to do. Remember Google is your friend, at least when it comes to finding stuff. Just search for ‘trademark check’ or ‘trademark search’ and you’ll find numerous sites you can look for a trademark in.
