Hopefully I’ll get another chapter or two of Asterion up this weekend for my beta readers.  So much to do though – it seems to be one of those months were loads of things have started piling on at once.  But, we’ll muddle through it, somehow.

It’s only a couple more chapters before the actual adventure starts.

Hello Americans! I am an AMEROPHILE. I fell in love with your culture after I saw your hit shows, The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy. Now I understand your whole society, based off of watching just two TV shows!

When you are writing a story and refer to a character by a physical trait, occupation, age, or any other attribute, rather than that character’s name, you are bringing the reader’s attention to that particular attribute. That can be used quite effectively to help your reader to focus on key details with just a few words.

It wasn’t in the show, it was to encourage additional TV stations to pick it up for syndication.

This was my favorite Buck Rogers catch phrase:

‘Every day in every way I’m getting better and better…’ was also the catchphrase of Frank Spencer –

The Tripods – TV Series

I’ll get around to reviewing the last book in John Christopher’s The Tripods Trilogy (as well as probably the prequel), but at this point I might as well mention that there was indeed a British TV series based on the books.  It had typical BBC 1970′s production values, made in 1984.

As I’m finishing up the latest draft of the first few chapters of Asterion, I might as well start putting the word out that I’ll be looking for beta readers.  What I’m wanting to read is a science-fiction adventure story,

Most Famous People I’ve Met

The most famous person I’ve ever met was, obviously, Mark Little, aka Joe Mangel from Austrailian soap opera Neighbours.  Of course, I nearly fainted… I couldn’t believe it was him!  The only way I could have been more excited is if Bouncer was there too.

But I sense that might not be impressive to some people (philistines).
